Cops Reserves were looking to maintain their good start to the season when Cockfield Reserves were the visitors to the Copleston Arena.

Cops started the game with early chances for Smith and Stevens however the Cockfield keeper made a couple of good saves.

On 20 mins Stevens struck the cross bar from a Harris corner. Cops had another chance to take the lead on 25 mins when Huggins played through Harris but the keeper made another fine save.

Cops finally took the lead on 30 mins when J King fired a left foot shot passed the keeper from just outside the box.

J King grabbed his second of the games just before half time after he converted an Harris corner.

Half time arrived with Cops going in 2-0 up and in total control of the game.

The second half started with the conditions getting worse however Cops extended their lead when Blayney put through Huggins who slotted past the keeper from 10 yards.

Cops had plenty of chances throughout the second half with Doncic,Huggins and Stevens all coming close.

On 70 mins J King completed  a  well deserved hat-trick by scoring Cops 4th goal.

Cockfield grabbed a consolation goal just before the final whistle.

The full time whistle arrived with Cops comfortably winning the game 4-1. Another solid performance with Rooney and Thacks being able to give the whole squad valuable game time going into Wednesday Nights Cup Final against Old Newton Reserves.
