The First Team got their first win of the season with a good 2-0 win at Trimley who were unbeaten in four games. Neither side really dominated the first half and both had half chances but it was the second half that Cops looked sharper and more clinical.

Cops won a penalty for a shirt pull on Perrie Soanes but Yani Duka saw his spot kick parried away by the keeper and Ben Golding saw an effort bounce off the crossbar.

Within minutes of Jordan Godbold coming on he met a cross from Ben Golding on the right perfectly to head home and Harry Cole did likewise, meeting a lofted cross, this time from the left by Ryan Beeston and heading low past the keeper’s right.

Two stand out performances from the game was the ever busy Sean Hanley and from left-back Ryan Beeston; both got joint man of the match awards.

The Reserves maintained their unbeaten run with four wins out of four and three points clear at the top of the table beating Old Newton United 1-0 and the A’s lost 4-1 at Grundisburgh Reserves.
