Cops Reserves made the short trip to Henley looking to continue their good start to the season.
Cops got off to a good start with D King and Stevens having good chances to open the scoring within the first 10 mins.
On 13 mins Cops took the lead when Abbott crossed from the right and a J King shot was turned into the net by a Henley defender.
Harris went close on 20 mins from free kick just outside the box.
Cops made it 2-0 on 30 mins when good cross resulted in Stevens finishing off from 10 yards.
Playing conditions were getting worse with the wind and rain but that didn’t stop Cops adding goal No3. A long ball from Dale was met by J King who volleyed home from just inside the the box.
Henley pulled a goal back on 35 mins when a deflected header ended up in the back of the Cops net. Henley nearly got a second just before half time but Ellis made a good save to his left. Cops were defending well and went in at half time 3-1 up.
The second half started with Cops continuing to dominate the game. On 55 mins Cops made it 4-1 when a Coote corner was finished off by Miller who poked home from close range.
D King made it 5-1 on 70 mins when he curled a shot in from the edge of the box. D King got his second and Cops 6th when he headed in from Abbott’s Cross.
So a fine 6-1 win to make it 3 wins out of 3. A great squad effort with some good individual performances from Young, Miller and J King
MOTM Ryan Coote.
